Alum creator and curator gives voice to Indigenous and emerging artists
Delia Touché is an artist, curator, and educator whose work bridges museum leadership and creative practice, with a strong focus on Indigenous voices, collaborative methodologies and community accountability. They are being honored with an MSUM Foundation 2026 10 Under 10 Alumni Award.
As the exhibit and interpretive programs manager at WakaÆž Típi AwaÆžyankapi, Delia’s passion lies in amplifying underrepresented voices and fostering dialogue through printmaking, book arts, and collaborative programming. Delia earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing from 91¿´Æ¬Íø Moorhead in 2020 and a Master of Fine Arts in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2023.

Based in Saint Paul, Minn., they have made a significant impact through both artistic and curatorial work. In addition to key leadership at WakaÆž Típi AwaÆžyankapi, they have held pivotal roles at the Cranbook Art Museum and the Plains Art Museum, where they curated major exhibitions that emphasized Indigenous, contemporary, and socially engaged art.
Delia’s artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in prominent collections, including the Walker Art Center and the Minnesota Historical Society, reflecting the reach and resonance of their innovative work. They have received competitive awards and fellowships like the Native Arts + Cultures Foundation LIFT Award, Harpo Foundation Native American Fellowship, and Windgate University Fellowship.
Delia’s commitment to community is evident through their teaching, mentorship, and public-facing programs. They have led workshops and lectures at museums, universities, and conferences throughout the
country, creating spaces that prioritize accessibility and creative empowerment for Indigenous, queer, and emerging artists. Through their career, Delia shapes more inclusive cultural institutions while using art as a tool for connection and lasting social impact.
